    Hi guys,
This year i'm looking to gain a few more customers. I am curious to know how effective tear off flyers on supermarket and gas station bulletin boards are. Is it a waste of time and money printing some up? Do you find that you get more joke calls than serious ones? Or is it an easy way to pick up a customer or two? Just curious before I print some up. I am still selling door to door so the tear off flyers would just help get to more people. What are you thoughts? Thanks!

I think they're (basically) free, so why not? I lump them in with Craigslist. People say they attract price shoppers or otherwise PITA types, but bid em high if you don't really want em. Or outright decline if it's a lawn you wouldn't want at pretty much any semi-believable price.

I always have flyers in the truck to pass out. I put them on the bulletin boards but have never really had any luck. They either get covered quick with other stuff or competition takes them down. I know which stores have them so I just bring one in with me when I go in. I only put them in stores that are in my main target area or an area where I'm trying to pick up more clients. I wouldn't waste my time driving all over town to put them up either. You can make them pretty cheap, just get some neon colored paper and print black on it. The color attracts people and the black ink is cheaper to print.

Thanks for the help. I figure it wouldn't hurt just to throw a few up at some local stores. I wouldn't mind picking up another customer!

It seems like a hit and miss thing but I don't mind giving it a try. Thanks.
