How far?

How far will you guys travel for work? This year I started heading east of my town as far as 100 miles putting in bids at every place I found. Now, I'm making more money driving 100 miles east (on the bids that I won) than I was making in my town within a 20 mile radius. Since it went so well this year, next year I'm going to go 100 miles north and south of here to see how much more business I can pick up. Does anyone else travel outside your area this far? How far will you guys travel for work? How far do you guys travel for work?

Just my opinion but at least in my area there is plenty of work for everyone who looks for it.
I see guys often saying there isnt much or that its to tough to get.
NOPE! just look for it.
I would never consider traveling that far.
Furthest I travel is 40 or so miles and I'm steadilly working to cut that.

I should mention that most $100 weekly or more. It's not like I'm going after small $35 or $40 yards. I'd rather not drive that much, but for the money I'm getting in return it's worth it for me.

I have friends that have 100+ customers all within a 5-7 mile radius of their shop. Around here it seems as though there is more mowing work than you can handle.

Discovery,

That's unreal!!! I bet they make some good money doing that. That would be too cool to only put 20 miles on your truck per day.

I cut down from a 35 mile radius last year, to an 8 mile radius this year. It was hard to do, but I needed to do it.
