I already have two gravely, one pm148 and one pm152. Those are small mower but I like them. Since last year I have got a lot of big contracts (5-9 acres) and I feel that I'm not productive. My price are pretty good but my production is not. I did 625 hours with the pm152 and 400 with the pm148. Things look like I'm going to do 700hres with the 152 and 450-500 with the 148 in 2008. About 85% of my accounts could be mow with a bigger mower and the other 20% could be done with the smaller. I would like to know how much time could I save with a 60-66 inch mowers and a big mower (like the new gravely 66" with the 31hp kawasaki or the diesel pm260). I would like to save 200 hres on 1150-1200. Is it possible?

I am not familiar with gravely but I am guessing the 148 is a 48" deck and the 152 is a 52" deck??? Going up to a 60"+ deck on an acre or two may not make a huge difference but when you are talking about 5-9 acre lots you will see a difference. I know when I compared my 52" hydro walk behind (with a pro-slide) to a 56" Exmark there wasnt THAT big of a difference. When I demo'ed the 60" Hustler on the same property I was about 45 minutes faster on total work time. This was on about 4 acres at a small school I maintain.
