How long to lay about 1100 sq ft of sod with reasonable access to the pallets, About 2 1/2 pallets?
with one guy-not very long-couple of hours maybe
I layed about 2 pallets in 4 hours. if the ground is preped already less than that. My tiller was stuck behind the pallets anfd i had to hand till all the soil. I will never go pay until i see the sod loaded the way i want it.
don't forget that the GREEN side goes up and the BROWN side goes down
Personally, I can't see a very good quality job done by 1 person that fast. It takes a little while to line the seems properly. If you don't want to have it look near seamless in the end, you can go alot faster.
Have the sod farm cut longer pieces and cut your time in half.
by at least the 3rd date
It will be a time consuming project that in the end you can tell if you knew what you were doing or not. Lining up the seams takes time, just as ground preparation and watering and rolling the sod when in place. Allow extra time if this is the first time you have done this.
