Working on a qoute to spread 32 yards of mulch. Mulch is going into multiple beds around office and parking lot island. I already know my costs just looking for how long it should take. There is 24 beds to mulch in total. I'm getting it deliverd and plan on renting a skid to move it around. It is all open flat parking lot so I might dump half on one side and the other.

I know how long it takes me to do 1-3 yard jobs out the back of my truck but not sure on this one. I am thinking 10-12 hours from mulch being dumped to complete rake in. What do you all think?

How many people on the crew?

What is in the beds? Perennials, shrubs, trees, or just open? When do you plan on doing the job if you get it. If the beds have perennials will they be emerging or can you get to it in the next 4-6 weeks?

I think if they are open beds with not a lot to work around 10-12 hours would be good. If there is more to work around I would bump it up a bit.

Also, youll have a skid steer, which will help but what will site conditions be like. Meaning is the parking lot going to be full of cars that you have to work around. Wont be able to just pull up to the island easily. Or can you do it on the weekend when no one is there.

Your right I did not think about the cars in the lot. It seems pretty busy in and out. Property is composed of two Buildings one being a pretty active retail store.

As for the beds most are pretty open with a tree or shrubs here and there and two sections with a lot of roses to work around I figured the rose area to take about 3 hours using about 8 yards of mulch.

Time wise it is something that is going to be done in the next few weeks if they hire it out. Last year it was done in house with bags bought 50 at a time.
