Just curious - Gov. Granholm in Michigan is asking to place a 2% tax on services like lawn care to increase the state's budget revenues. Does your state have such a tax? Wondering how widespread this is across the nation. She campaigned on making it easier to do business in Michigan. This just adds another layer of bookwork and complexity.

    Granholm quotes-
"no new taxes i swear, oh wait now im elected sorry i lied."
MI motto-"we welcome new small business(as long as you pay lots of taxes)"
"i know how to create more revenue, lets scare more small businesses out of the state by taxing the hell out of them."

We don't have to collect and pay sales tax on a service oriented business here in Ut. yet but we do have to collect sales tax if we resell any products ie: flowers, mulch, fertilzers etc.
