How many men do you have on each of your crews?
umm i have one crew of 2 guys not including myself.i work alone most of the time
I have found the 2 man crews to be most efficient.
2 works the best for me, tried a 3 crew for a week, and it was chaos
I'm kinda split on the 2 vs 3 men. I've ran both. In the spring when there's heavy growth and alot of trimming 3 is kinda needed but once you get into slower growth 2 are able to handle everything fine. when there's not as much trimming 3 is too many. The size of the properties makes a difference too, over 1/3 of our properties are 3-6 acres and most of the rest are atleast and acre, with a hand full of smaller ones. On the big houses 3 guys is a huge help but on the small ones sometimes on guy ends up waiting for the other guys to finsh,
we run into the problem where crew members were standing around waiting for the others and also they were going over stuff (such as trimming) where someone already went over. I also felt that there was just too much conversation going on with 3 people.
usually just me, but hire someone for fall cleanups
3 here, but like other said, I think 2 is slightly more efficient.
Usually use two (2) per crew, except when we do the larger commercial accounts then three (3)
For 8 years, all I ever used was a 2-man crew. This year I tried a 3-man crew (2 of them) and will never go back to a 2-man crew. I wish I had tried it years ago...
