My mulch supplier can't make a mulch delivery for tomorrow and I need to deliver it myself. How many yards can you fit piled pretty high in a standard size F150 bed? I'm making short trips, about 2 miles on back roads. I know I can estimate by measuring it but I'm wondering what people think from their experience.

ive got sides on my ez dumper in 8'bed and i pay for 5 scoops of a "1" yards but im sure they skimp as most do. the 5 yards is heaping and heavy but its a 3/4 ton.

I have an f150 1/2 ton and just picked up mulch today. I was able to get 2 yds. in the bed. Plenty of more room but the weight was pushing the limit.

You can make a pair of 1 foot sides going all around in about 10 min and 12$ if you wanted to go over 2 yards. Wieght and stopping would start to be an issue though.

2 yards easy... every loader's "yard" varys.... but 2 no problem. keep in mind if you get 3 and you pull out with it heaping and not tarped some cops like to get ya for that.

yeah i get 2 yards easy in my 91 f150 full bed... its heavy for it but handles it fine, just squats somewhat.

some say 3, but your really pushing it, id rather just make the extra trip if needed.
