Quite a Bit!
I pulled a school bus about a half mile with mine worked fine!
Lets see a pic.
I did a search and found this guy towing about 2k.
I need to tow about 3.
I'd say that my 48" steel drum watered filled aerator rivals a 3k lb load. Use a super z and you'll be fine.
For some reason, it just doesn't seem like a good idea.
WOW that pic was funny....
I don't think my V6 ranger could pull that load unless, I was going downhill
The last time that pic showed up a Hustler rep said "you can pull anything with it you can pull with a XXhp lawn tractor. My Huskey manual on the other hand says "don't ever tow anything because you will jack knife and kill everyone within ear-shot".
Because I'm a lazy bugger who was sweating to death wishing I had a walking tractor, this week I experimented with dragging dead palm trees with my Toro W/B. Sorry no pics available. After I daisy-chained the two trees together with cargo straps and hooked them to the velke, put my fat a$$ on board and hit go; it still went. Goes better on pavement though.
So at what point do you damage the hydro pumps?
Shortly before the grinding noise commences...
Sorry, what's your manual say? That's what they will warranty it for. Otherwise, work your way up to find the limit I guess.
The heaviest things I ever pulled with my Dixies was a 17 foot boat and my daughter's 98 Cavalier.
