By the yard is more profitable than hourly.

it's best to charge a flat fee per yard of mulch vs. per hour. My guys can blow through 2-3 yds of mulch in an hour. More profitable to charge flat fee

i'm not quite sure what all of you are talking about. he asked how much to put mulch down per hr. labor only. not including the price of the mulch.

i charge for the mulch by the yard as well as charge by the hr on top of that to put it down.

i can get a yard of mulch for $25. so i'll charge something like $75 for 2 yards of mulch (price to buy it plus going to pickup and delivery to the site) and then $50 labor for an hr to put it down. $125 total.

Why does everyone ask silly questions about pricing? Just charge your hourly rate and be done with it, what is there to think about? Not trying to be mean, just saying.

Well if I'm charging 50 an hr for labor and takes me 15 minutes,I'm not going to charge 12.50 for labor.

where do you come up with this stuff? :dizzy:

he asked about a per hr price for labor. if it took 15min i'd prolly charge $25 for labor.

i've actually done a 15min mulch job this year. 5 bags of mulch. i got paid $45. $20 to cover the mulch and $25 for the labor to put it down.
