How much do you pay your employees per hour? Or do you pay them a different way? If so, how? I'm interesting in lawn care business employees mainly.

That's why the labor pool is always changing and everyone complains about stupid employees. Lead mowing guy is bringing in 17.25 an hour general labor we start at 10 and if theyes are work well will the company we up them to 12.50 after there probation period.

Wow. Not sure what crew leaders make around here but starting pay just about every where is $9 per hour.

Entry here is $9/hr. Crazy to see the difference in wages. My mowing crew leaders would faint if I told them inward going to pay them 18-20/hr.

Now cost of living is low here. A 1200 sqft house I would live in can be bought for $105-120k. A nice large 3000 sqft house maybe $300-350k. Small 2 bedroom rental apt might be 500-650 per month.

I'm going to really look at wages this winter and see how high I can go based on production. My hopes is better wage = better employee and hope the word gets out.

12% ??? Are you sure? That means a lawn tec that does 200k per year in production only gets 24k payroll?

Too much. I pay 12% of production. I'm not a mowing company tho, I'm a lawn and pest company.
