how do u guys charge for mulching
i am now getting into this and was wanting some pointers

i've never heard of charging more, i always mulch, it keeps me from having to pick up leaves and blow clippings away

I took it you meant the latter.

Do you mean spreading mulch??

If so, like any service, I figure by the hour plus costs. I have an hourly goal that I try to get for all services.

If its mulch i charge $65 a cu. yard for mulch and spreading. Edging beds is extra.

Ncsulandscaper, what type of mulch are you using? I get Old fines a type of bed mulch for 10 a yard it takes me an hour for 3 yards placed. at your rat that is 195.00 Heck I do yards with 40 yards at a time and only charge 1250 or so. and that is at 65 per man hour + materials. You would be charging 2600 for that amount. heck I need to get on the band wagon here.
