How many contracts do you think is too much for a one-man ops. that is also part-time. I work Tues. thru Fri. all day. Have a hard time refusing work:D . What do you think? Oh, by the way, most yards take only 30-40 mins. max. Always less that a 1/4 acre.

It would depend on travel time but I would guess around 40.

Well if you have 40 yards and it takes you 30 min each and you presently work 4 days, ------------------------------------------------------
    40 x 30 = 1200 min = 20 hrs devided by 4 days = 5 hrs a day plus add in road time, possible down time, rain.
    40 sounds doable to me

Do the math. Only person that can answer that without any other additional information, would be yourself.
