I am trying to get a depretiation cost to set my price for using a scag 61" turf tiger. My question is how much life does one of these things have in it. Can any one tell me how many hours one is good for?

I usually go by what they sell for on ebay as a reference. Good luck.

Call your dealer, they'll let you know the usual life expectancy for your machine.

Probably loose the most value that first year and then taper off as far as resale value goes. I have a friend that bought a 27hp lc/60" cut with 800 hours and gave $5800 and it was considered a good deal. Not sure what it would cost new but I would guess about 10G. So it lost over 1/3 of its value at 800 hours. Check out ebay as suggested. Here a link to a 29lc/72 on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...40024187436&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&rd=1

You have warmer temps you might get more cuts, here if it's a lead machine 600 hours a season or year.

Thanks for the help guys, so can I expect to get 2000 hours out of this machine? By the way I am the owner AND the operator so I know it will be treated well / not abussed.
