How much oil?

    I was doing some maintenance on my walk behind and since the mower is so old I don't have a Manual or anything so i called a dealer by my house and he said about 22 oz is that right? Its an 11 hp briggs

    You could do a search on the internet if you have the model number. Otherwise I would call another dealer, or send an email to Briggs.

    No! i was shocked when i found that out I mean it runs fine but i havent worked it long hours yet so i dont wanna run the risk

    does it have a little cap way down on the motor basically on the side of the sump, where you unscrew it and can look in the hole and see the oil? If so, you can't over fill these. The oil should be up in the threads if not all the way to the top..

    Yep....add oil until it is about at the top of the threads. If you add too much it will just run out....and make a mess.
