Ok I am wondering hat kind of gallons people are seeing on average being sprayed by techs. I am talking average tech not Bobby the wonder tech...8-9 hour days breaks and lunch in the day. Route is tight no more then 15-20 miles from the shop generally all within the same neighborhood on the day.

My guys avg 200k a day, could be 10 properties or 30. The real goal is not to have to come back for service call.

    Ditto. Quality over Quantity.

Seeing 200 gallons or 200k square feet? I agree with quality however production is important as well. I heard brick man group wants techs to be around 400 gallons a day ? Seemed high to me for multiple stops

160,000 sqft is more typical. That is about 16 10,000 sqft lawns. However--a lot depends on route density--the more miles driven--the less time for spraying or spreading the lawn. And you don't want to hurry the spreading or spraying. If you are supposed to spread at 3 mph and the tech goes at 4 mph...he is only applying 75 percent of the label dosage. Crabgrass may arise a lot quicker than planned.

We'll do anywhere from 150k-300k (300-600 gallons) a day for each tech depending in the size of the lawns in the route. We've got a few zones with lawns sizes between 30k-85k. The gallons go quick on those days.

I'd like to get a feel on how many of you guys use a ride on spreader/sprayer.

I never keep track of th sq ft a day. But with my ride on I use between 60 and a 100 gals of water a day on home lawns. Now on my bigger jobs it's nothing to use 265 gals a day. That's the same job just keep on spraying.

I only drag a hose in the spring on very steep lawns or lawns that are just cut up real bad.

We drag the hose on our Spring and Fall Pre-emergent apps. We do this on almost all lawns except the really large lawns. Ride-ons and chest spreaders are used on everything in between

I've done 800 gallons in a 11.5 hour day with my 200 gallon lesco space saver.

The real big boy around friend--competitor has 8 trucks on the road. Each is a diesel equipped with split tanks and nurses. Each fill up is 650 gallons. Each man fills his truck up at least twice per day. So, by rights, each tech does 325K. Then a full day, they will each walk over 650,000 square feet. That is roughly 15 acres per man. Then again, he has ride ons also.
