How much % should employees cost per crew for mowing.

    Searched but could not come up with enough info...

    Im looking at about 50% spent on employee pay/workmans comp of gross.
    How is that on average? High? Low?

    That sounds very high we have 10 guys. Lawn and landscape design install.
    Lawn crews are 30 - 35 %, install guys 25 - 30%

    that is high, but not super high, especially if that includes YOUR pay.

    Your correct my friend your labor burden should be 40 -50% once you add in your insurance and taxes for maintenance. Landscaping should be a little less 30 to 40%
