This is a really big customer and I am in my first year of business, so it's a big deal for me to get this account. The mulch is to be installed in medians in a very very large parking lot. I'd say it's around 15,000 sqft total. I have no idea how much to charge. I would like to give them a bid with and without landscaping fabric.

Cost of mulch + delivery + labor to install/clean up + operating costs + profit. Did I miss anything there.

How much would you charge a customer that only needs 5 yards @ 2"?

If you're solo that's a lot. Are you picking up the mulch or having it delivered? If delivered how are you going to get it from drop off point to where it's needed?

Give them your Going Out Of Business sale price. $40 a yard should do it.

Your mulch supplier should deliver that much for nothing. Get it dumped as close to where you need it. If you're hand shoveling 100 yrds by yourself, make sure your life insurance policy is paid up.

That much mulch though if possible I would sub it out to a company that could spray it. See how much they charge then figure out how much you could make off their bid without being turned down
