I live in the suburbs of Chicago and I am thinking about starting a lawn service business. How much should I charge?

Try to get $1.25 for each yard up to an acre if its larger get at least a dime more.
Ask the customer to pay for your fuel and keep you in beer while you work.
no for real don't charge .

Starting out, probably $30/average yard. Average being 4-5000sqft. But that is here in podunk Iowa. Chicago I would imagine a bit more $$$ and a bit smaller yards, unless you are in the suburbs.
