I have been approached to buy a lawn care / landscaping business and I was wondering if there is a percent on every dollar you pay for accounts or do you pay at a cost of a months gross revenue? and as far as used equip obviously I wouldn't pay market value on the equipment, what is a safe guideline to use for the value of equipment in a buy out situation. i appreciate all the help and info you can offer.

I have heard (repeatedly) that a rate of 2-3 months of gross revenue is the standard selling price.
