I'm 50, run a one man show, and still am going strong. Sometimes I feel like an old man when I see guys half my age cutting. How old is too old?

56 And somedays feel 96.
Wow, now I don't feel so bad! I'll be 51 in July. One man operation. I tried the whole employee thing. Gave up on that ten years ago. Now I sub out a little, but mostly it's just me.

I feel right now I can work until I'm 70. I feel pretty good. I know a guy that actually DID work until he was 70. His knees finally went, and he had to have them replaced. He's 87 now, and he's still working, but he does easy stuff like drives a tractor and tends to his plants which he sells.

I think the main thing we have to worry about is injury. As long as we stay uninjured, we should be okay for a while. The job keeps us healthy.

Well, I am 61, run a one man operation, but believe me, I DO NOT "run" anymore. I know some guys that run so fast they leave smoke trails. My knees and back just would not take the pressure anymore. Time to slow down I guess....

Be 50 in July just me and the wife. We definately use equipment that gives us an edge. Smooth cut, smooth ride, we might make it to 65 doing this. Been at it for 16 yrs and still enjoying it.
