I hooked one of my trailers up today to move it at my shop and for some reason the brake control is not working....It is locking the brakes so that the tires wont turn. My Crew will be using this truck tomorrow and I need to know how to temporarily disnonect the trailer brakes untill I can get a new brake controller. I found a trailer wiring diagram with showed the blue wire as the brake wire....can I just disconnect that or will that stop the function of the brake lights also? Any advice would be appreciated

I wonder if the breakaway switch is activated?

Nope, breakaway switch is fine. as soon as I unplugged the the trailer cord from the truck the tires of the trailer freed right up. Definitly something with the brake control box.....I was having problems with it last week but I thought my trailer mechanic fixed it......

Happened to me awhile ago on a similar trailer.

    It was the battery.

    Good luck!

Has anyone rewired it recently? maybe a ground problem or two wires in the trailer plug touching.

the controller was not working at all.... the mechanic found it was grounded properly and the grounded it to the truck battery. worked fine that day.....
