    For the experts out there....

I was going to see how to price irrigation jobs. I have friends that do irrigation, but they act like they dont want to help me at times. They might think its compition or something, but there are hundred others. They let me be on there jobs, but they dont want to pay me if i help. I guess they dont want to pay someone that really dont know what they are doing, but i am learning. Is there videos on how to install irrigation

Things i dont know how to do
How do i walk a yard off, how far each gear head and mister goes
i know the valve box goes into a flower bed around here, where i live
measure a yard to determine a price
    set a timer
    install valves

Things i know how to do
    change heads, move heads
    cut pipe
    glue pipe
    install funny pipe
    Install T's and Elbows
    install a timer
set heads on how much pressure and distance

also i have noticed once the heads and all are installed and irrigation is running, water leaks from the head, where the head pops out of, people have told me that is normal, cause of all the pressure running though it, they said its called a (release)

How about low drain check valves? :hammerhead: "release" means waste.

what do u mean by low drain check valves

all i know is there are 2,3, or 4 valves or more 8in to 12in in the ground that run the heads, depending on how many heads and misters is installed

so the water release(waste) is normal?

Just my two cents...You are heading in the right direction, but before you decide that you are ready to head out on your own...knock a couple more things off your list of things you need you learn...like installing valves and setting clocks.....good luck..

Everything seems pretty simple once learned.

I do lawn service and added these services, i have had friends telling me there is a big profit margin in landscaping and irrigation. So i decided to learn those services

also i know how to turn each zone on from the valves, some little turn knobe beside the valve

If you want to take a look at my myspace page and my website:

The site could use a little gramatical help, but not bad.

Sounds to me like you need to go take a class or read a book on irrigation and learn the basics on design, hydraulics, repair, etc ect. How do you expect to be able to effectively repair a system if you dont fully understand its components and how it operates?

I just dont understand going out an offering a service if you can only offer bits and pieces of what that service actually entails. Just my opinion

    That's silly.

It is sometimes a place where naive people post too many details about themselves and live to regret it.

But it's also a good place to find and sample new music and bands.
For example... this is my daughter's boyfriend's band.

Personally, I wouldn't use it for business.
