Im new to the landscaping business, I have a lady who is ordering about 20 tons of rock, and needs it to be dispersed. She will be buying the rock, i just need to do the heavy lifting. How do you guys price this??

Figure your hours and multiply it by your hourly rate.

I think we charge 1mh per yard rock. More if it it's from a pile and not a truck

labor is labor. My guys get paid the same whether we are putting down rock, mulch, cleaning up debris, etc... If the customer is supplying the material and you don't have any extra surcharges needed such as fuel to go pickup/deliver the rock. I would go based on your hourly labor rate.
