Has anyone looked into converting their big gas powered equipment to propane?

i know austin texas has 14 ferris z's that they converted over two years ago. They said they are saving on the fuel cost and emissions. I think its the way to go...the propane companies will do a cylinder exchange program to get you the fuel

Does anyone have numbers to compare cost of fuel between propane and gasoline? I am not looking to convert or use propane, just curious since I've seen this topic before. I think propane is the most expensive form of fuel for home heating compared to fuel oil (aka diesel) and electric. Just curious how it compares for engine use.
