Me thinks you spoke too soon . Hurricane heading your way. Least the guessers say it is
Could be but the last map I looked at shows it staying completely off the US coast and heading out to sea. I Hope it's correct more so for the folks in NC. They don't need another one..
Me thinks the weather guessers want a major hit so bad in the US that they can taste it. Sad lot they are.
Anything to drive ratings.
You nailed it !!
With global warming we were supposed to have like 10 cat 5s hitting land every year.
And a couple cat 6s.
20 years ago they said we will get more frequent and larger storms.
Just never happened.
I have a customer who rode out hurricane hazel (1954) on a roof. No house attached, just a floating roof. Cat 3 or above we leave.
It's all fun and games until that 140 mph wind hits and that 7 foot storm surge wipes everything out.
Seriously though, people just don't understand the power in those storms until they experience it themselves. They have to live (or die) and learn the hard way.
I'd rather take your word for it.
Looks like it may be headed my way. I saw a few ads for window boarding today. I'll be watching closely and have some decisions to make Monday.
