I'm going to purchase the BR500 myself. I recently read an article about it in one of my turf magazines praising it's blowing power, while also being very fuel efficient and good for the environment (very low emissions). I don't know much about the 150bt, it may also be very good... Maybe someone else on this site knows more about it.

Stihl makes a wonderful product. We use the BR550 and couldnt be more happier with it.

I've been using stihl for many years, I have never owned any other brand. I recently bought a new br600 and couldn't be happier with it. Just as a word of advise, buy the biggest blower you can afford, you will be glad to have the extra power.

we run the 150's now called 350 but its the same unit they are great on regular maintenance and regular to medium leaf work we prefer a 170 on any stuck down leaves but the170 will displace alot of mulch ......
the 150's are great on week to week work we run several as our startup units on our mowing crews
