Husqvarna bought out Redmax over a year ago. There were a lot of different reasons given for it but the big ones were the Redmax blowers, all of the Husqvarna blowers are now Redmax blowers instead of the Kawasaki blowers they were rebadging in the past. One of the biggest reasons for the Redmax acqusition is for market share in Asia, Redmax is the biggest brand in handheld equipment in Asia.

The Husqvarna 426LST is the same as the Redmax BCZ2650T. Retail on the 426LST is $369.95. Husqvarna is also selling the 430LS which is the same as the BCZ3050T with a retail of $399.95.

How come they are not even showing in the 2010 catalog. Only have the 327 stuffs.

BTW, what is the difference between the old 326 engine and the 327 engine? Do they modified for CARB crap? Are they harder to start and need more warmup? I compare the IPL and can't exactly tell.

The 426LST and 430LS are on page 33 at the bottom in the 2010 catalog.

As to the differences between the 326 and the 327 engine, I am not sure of all the changes. I do know that it was updated for cleaner emissions. Both the 326 and 327 are CARB compliant engines. Looking up parts on these engines you now have to have the model and serial numbers as some of the newer 326 products take the same parts as the new 327 and also the other way around. One of the biggest differences you will notice once all of the products are updated to the new 327 stuff is mostly cosmestic like the starter, it is now round and the fuel tank does not come loose when you take it off, the air filter cover, and the spark plug cover.

As for how it runs, I have not noticed a difference in it being harder to start or taking longer to warmup. I gas up and start every piece that leaves my showroom and they all seem the same. I have used both and have not noticed a difference in either one.

The 426LST is the Redmax trimmer, with a Husqvarna handle and trigger, Husqvarna Gearbox, and Husqvarna T35 Tap head. Everything else is the same.

Just like the blowers. Same as the redmax with Husvarna molded gas tank, orange engine cover, longer tube and different handle , also offering tube mounted throttle.

There are also some hedge clippers from redmax this year. You will see more and more of this next year. Eventually........Redmax will say "Redmax, by Husvqvarna" The name it'self may even be phased out in the states.......who knows.

I know this post is old, but I have to inform everyone that we have had nothing but trouble with the 426 LST and EX. We bought 4 LST's and 3 EX's and we have had all of them in the shop for carb and rpm problems. We should of gone with the 326 or 327, something dependable that has been around awhile.
