For those of you who have this far is the gap between the ends of your two blades when they are horizontal to each other? I'm going to measure mine in the morning when I get off work but I'm thinking mine has a 3/4" gap. That's how it came stock and I'm thinking that might be why I have a small strip of uncut grass when I mow.

I did notice this once with mine. I sharpened the blades and the problem was fixed. But, that is a good question. If their is a gap between the blades, how does the grass between the blades get cut?

when you look at the deck notice one blade is farther forward then the other, that is why you have a gap, you should even have a slight overlap in the cutting area of the blades. I am not sure it is that much of a gap but you should have a small gap.
