So I am an AVID Hustler fan having grown up 10 minutes from Hesston, KS and I have been through 3 or so Hustlers and am currently running a Super Z. I got rid of a Wright Stander this winter and decided to get another unit to serve as a back-up and after talking to a Hustler dealer I really wanted the new Super Z but ended up pulling the trigger on a Scag V-Rde (stander) with a 52" cut and 26 hp Kawasaki engine. I gotta say I think the velocity deck is really nice and mows great and overall the mower seems to be built really well but I have to admit that I still LOVE my Hustler. I used the Scag for about 3 hours today and my feet are killing me. If anyone is considering a new mower I would definitely demo a stander for a week before pulling the trigger to test out your feet, you are basically on your feet all day except when driving to the next lawn. The Scag was way cheaper than the Hustler Super Z ($7,300) but I kinda wish I would have pulled the trigger on the new Super Z instead. Maybe I need a third one now but this slightly smaller Scag fits into some gates my Super Z won't. Just thought I would tell everyone my opinion on the two.
