My mower started having engine problems last week and was losing power. Had a mechanic friend strip it down, cleaning all the ECU wire harness connections and putting back together, the engine code error 17 faulty engine temp control sensor showed up. So I ordered a new sensor KAW-21176-7001 and after 4 hours mowing like new again (340 hours on 2015 unit) engine bogs down again. This time no engine codes.
It did emit a audible high engine temp alarm at the end of my 4hours mowing so shut it down. Started it up this morning before work and it mowed okay this morning for 15 minutes (but could tell engine was sluggish) then shut it down. This afternoon it died immediately. One row cut then started whimpering and throttle control went out and engine got very sluggish.
Any ideas on what to troubleshoot here? No engine codes showing up. Stripped it down and checked wiring harness connections. Not sure what is going on here.
