Hi all, So I hit my 50 hour service and decided to change out both the hydraulic fluid as well as the filter (even though I know the fluid isn't necessary, I'd rather be safe than sorry). So far I've had two issues: 1) The stock hydraulic filter is an Excel 768341. When I looked for a replacement filter on the internet, the Stens 120738 came up, so I ordered one. After I had taken off the stock filter, I realized it is larger than the Stens. The Stens will fit, but it's not the same size...is this a problem? Is it a legitimate replacement part? It seems to fit and hold fluid, but the fact it's a different diameter AND height seems a bit troubling. 2) When I put new hydraulic fluid in, I only got 3.5 quarts in before it was full. So I'm guessing I didn't get all the previous fluid out. I also seem to have a lot of air in the system, as the first few times I ran it, the reservoir cap overflowed, and after turning the engine off and removing the cap, air bubbles were streaming out. Is there a better way to bleed the air out besides running the engine, free wheeling it for several minutes, and then turning it off and taking off the cap? Will this damage the hydraulic system? Thanks in advance for the help.
