Last night I replaced the seals in one of my hydro gear pumps. It's the BDP-10A model. After putting it all back together, the pump is still quite noisy. With the wheel off the ground and the engine running, it spins but only in reverse. I can't get it to go forward at all when moving the lever forward. It's only noticeably noisy when the relief valve is closed all the way. Any help with what to do would be greatly appreciated!

If it was noisy before you replaced the seals, you could only hope to stop the leak not the noise. The rotor and thrust bearings are probably worn and possibly the output bearing

Also make sure that the charge pump (the cap with 2 screws) was installed the way it came off, and the plastic ball and spring are in the right place.
