Ok, I let a friend borrow my toro zmaster. He ran it for 4 hours staight. Somehow he got a bunch wet grass over one of the right hydro. The next morning there was about a cup of hydrolic fluid on the ground. I thought must have a major leak, but a mechanic friend thinks it simply got overheated and fluid escaped through the dip stick breather (not sure what you call it). When I checked the dip stick it didn’t have any fluid registered. We added fluid, but it only took 6oz before filling up.

Has anyone had something like this happen to them? It’s never leaked before by the way.

Just a hunch but I think there's water in that unit.

How do you find out? Do you simply change hydrolic fluid is so?
