I have a commercial job coming up in a few weeks in the Dallas, Tx area. I am free to either Hyrdromulch or sod. The question is, should I hydromulch rye now and then come back in late spring and do common bermuda or shoudl I just go ahead and lay down common bermuda sod. The common is or will be dormant soon, but I don't want a lawn in the spring that is going to be dirt during the transisson to bermuda after the rye dies out (or we kill it to get the bermuda in). I would appreciate any thoughts. Cost is a factor, but Bermuda sod is bid and I would rather do the sod and have a good stand of grass than to make the little bit extra off the hydromulch. Thanks in advance for your reply.
