I had a very productive day, like i said i bought the lawn solutions walk behind aerator today. It was a demo unit but i got it out the door @ $2840. Everybody @ Howard Brothers in duluth, ga prasied this machine, i get to try it this weekend. The only thing i dont like about it is the briggs and straton engine, i wish it came with a kawi or a honda. I feel like the briggs is cheaper and the honda in kawi are unstoppable. They said at the shop that lawn solutions is just trying to get there product out there and once they do they will start putting in better engines. As far as the scag stander it was a 36inch cut 20hp kawi, i see the appeal to it, the deck is a perfect size for small gates and it handled great. I weigh 290 and all though i was just in a parking lot it seemed like it would hold down real well (it has a lot of weights in the front.) I also liked where your knees are positioned on the pad, the pad is angled on the edges to hold your knees together. I also got to check out the stander exmark, i have the toro grandstand and they are basically the same of course. Exmark had there new 21inch mowers out as well and they looked great, i love the new height adjustment system, they make you feel like they are true commercial 21inchers, they have 60% less parts than the honda hrc216, which means less maintenance and weight and no more complicated transmission problems, if youve ever owned a hrc216 like me you know what i mean when i say transmission problems......Anyway just an update for all you guys.....goodnight from Ga:waving:

Lawn Solutions offers Subaru Robin engines standard and is now putting Hondas on some models of Aerifiers & Revitalizers.
Kawasaki is available on the new Brush Blazer only--I have a Kawi on my 52" Goodall and absolutely love it.
The Briggs is decent enough, but I really prefer the Subaru over the Honda--it's a better motor in my opinion.
Curious how it's working for you...

I bought the ride on lawn solutions aerator with the Subaru 13.5 motor and I hate it. Won't start cold. Today 41 degrees and won't even pop. I have lawns to aerate and can't get this machine started. I called LS and they said they had put too small a battery in it and to try pull starting it. That does not work either. Anybody have a suggestion?

I probably felt the same about the Briggs engines but my mind was changed last week when I bought and old rental Parker 5hp.B&S dethatching machine from a hardware store. The mfg. plate dates it to 1988. Brought it to the shop, changed the old and power washed it, fresh gas and two pulls, zarooom! He sold it to me for $50. I'ce used it everyday thus far and it's great.

LS called me this morning and said that I need to turn down the hydro pressure every time I start the machine. I have not been doing this so this appears to have been my fault from ignorance. Sorry LS

Anyway, I am glad I bought this aerator. I have 3 plugr aerators I have used for years and they are good but this thing is so much faster. I also am not BEAT at the end of the day.

One Suggestion---I'd like to see a parking brake on it to help keep it stable on the trailer.

So you claimed that you hated the aerator. Was that just b.c you was angry at the time. Seems that there should be alot more problems for you to hate it. I know there is a thin line between love and hate. Lol Hope you was just on that line.
