    Hey guys,
I recently bought a Toro 44" 16hp kohler walk behind mower, used(never again) Anyway, soon after I bought it, the engine blew, or so I think. There is a golf ball size hole right next to the valves. Is this fixable? Or do I need to start looking for a new engine, and if so what is the smallest horsepower I can get away with?

Thanks, and let me know if you have or know someone who has a engine that might work you are looking to get rid of

I don't believe it would be cost effective to try repairing this engine. I also wouldn't recommend any smaller than a 16hp on a 44" deck.

With your engine model and spec numbers in hand you can gander below for a replacement. If you don't see your exact numbers give them a call, They will be glad to help you find a replacement.
