I am having trouble identifying and controlling this weed. Can anyone help me ID it?
Well, it's late...(my eyes are a little tired)..but that looks like good ol' fashioned chickweed to me!
At this still very cool point of the spring in the Ohio valley...are you using a potentially more potent ester (alcohol-based) formulation to combat harder-to-control early season weeds like chickweed, henbit, yellow rocket, etc ?
Generally, a good time to switch from "esters" over to "amines" (water-based herbicides) is about when the daytime temps get up into the upper 70's-lower 80's.... and stay there consistently for a week or two.
