i am thinking about buy a dump bed for my for my pickup truck. Have anyone have use a kit that uses your existing bed for a dump body or is it better to get a dump insert? I don't haul anything that have but it will be nice that i could dump and grass clipping out of truck and get some mulch.

I have an E-Z dumper insert that I put on a flatbed body, that I work off of. For grass and mulch its bulletproof, but for topsoil it grunts a little if you put more than about 2-1/2 tons on it. Good thing is you can store stuff under it, and pull rakes, shovels out the back. You do need to drill some holes through the bed to bolt it to the frame. Also, the dump kits that use the body eliminate your ability to mount a rear hitch to your truck.
