Ideal deck heights?

Anybody know if it's better to have the deck raised high, and throw spacers on the blades or to go the opposite and lower the deck and remove the blade spacers? Obviously I don't have a floating deck (48" & 36" Snapper W/B's). Which is best for sucking up all the debris so that the mower doesn't blow stuff back onto the lawn when using high lift blades crossed w/ gators. Thanks

I like to use less spacers in the spring to mow higher and increased air flow in the deck but I have a few pasture field accounts that demand I scalp to get their money's worth. Then you must use 2-3 spacers or you're deck will catch evry knob on the ground.
