If I only had a dollar for every employee I hired that came in being a great employee and left being a crack head. I must have gone threw 5 or 6 guys this year alone that came in worked their asses off then started making good money and went down the drain. Started showing up late then calling off over and over and then you ask them hey bud are you on drugs and there it goes they flip then you know its the drugs. It seems to me like this generation is going down hill fast they just don't know how to work I don't mind teaching them a skill but you cant teach hard work. I am thinking about going back to H2b's any body seeing this same problem? I know this field isn't easy work but its pretty good pay.

HA, people work nowadays? that's just hilarious. People like us work our arses off while majority of people just sit in the a/c all day and collect unemployment.
Especially people my age (21) and under are just totally lazy. They work until they get what they are saving for and then done. Or they don't work at all and just let their parents get them everything.

Not so sure about the drug claim. Thats only speculation.

    Hispanics like their drugs too.

It's a while different generation. Kids are not raised to do physical labor. I could write in depth details about this subject, but don't have the time.

And JRSLawn, what do you consider "good pay"??

Few years ago had a employee living in a house with no utility and just about to go to the street. Worked hard, after a month or so got enough money to have electric and water turned on. Month later gas turned on and another month insurance on his truck. The 4th month started showing up late and wanted to go home early. Go figure.

Showing up late and calling in. If that was a sure sign of drug usage, then 44% of the people in this country are on drugs.

I think poor work ethic is simply the main culprit.

Imagine that, you accuse someone of drugs and they flip out. I used to be a route trainer at a job where everyone had to have regular drug tests, and I can tell you that lots of people suck at life just fine without chemical help.
