I don't use canned fuels but I sure do use ethanol free. I didn't think the price of the 50 gal is bad I mean what is gas $3 gallon plus the oil?

I'm in ct and haven't found anywhere that sells ethanol free fuel. I have gas deilivdel to our shop and it has ethanol. We go though 400g every week and a half during mowing season and nearly 800g per week during leaf season .canned or barreled has just wouldn't be economically feasible.

You realize that ethanol is corn based. It helps our farmers. They're not East coast lefties.

There's a sucker in any situation. Snake oil for what ever reason seems easy to sell. Keep drinking the kool-aid. I'll keep my money in my pocket and equipment running strong. 87 in most 4 strokes and 89 in 2 stroke with the proper mix + the occasional fuel stabilizer in winter moths is all that needed.

    Well not quite that simple.

It's a poor fuel, and heavily subsidised.
It's a feel good solution, feed crops and agricultural land gets used for fuel production. Less land used for food production so food and produce prices rise.
Ethanol is 20% less efficient so in reality you burn 20% more fuel for every gal of ethanol forced into our gas tank. So really it's not even a green alternative. It's all politically driven.
And yes farmers love it, why not?
Stop growing food crop, and grow guaranteed corn at preset price for ethanol production. All the while
Crude oil is at 10 year lows.
