    I do not tow very much anymore, so I think I am done with diesel pickups. Diesels are now super expensive, diesel fuel is expensive, the newer diesels are very expensive to work on, and, of course,you can no longer get a 7.3 Powerstroke in new trucks. I am finished.
    Went out this past weekend and bought a new, leftover 2010, F250 V10 gasser. If it performs well for me, this may be the last new truck I will ever buy.
    Truck is pretty much a plain Jane work truck. However, It does have an upgrade package that provides power door locks and windows, tilt and cruise, split seat with fold-down center console, and AM/FM/CD player.
    Here are a couple of photos.
    Since someone is sure to ask, the sticker was $31050 and I bought it for about $10,000 less than the sticker price, ($21,200)

    Looks like a good truck and for quite a nice price. Should serve you well!

    I wish they still made the v-10s in the f250/350. My trucks are starting to get up there in age and I dont even know what to replace them with. The new diesels are a rip off and the v-8s just dont have enough power for the weight I tow.

    Been keeping my eye out for a low mileage 2008-2010 f350 with the v-10 but there just arent any around.

    Yes, for 2011, the only models that the V10 is available in, are the F450 and F550 trucks.

    Anybody with a V-10 doesn't sell them, I was looking for a V-10 F-450/550 couldn't find one, about 6 months later a F-550 V-10 popped up it wasn't on the market long it was gone.

    A half ton and a med duty seems like a good combo, cost effective. You have the cdl hastle but once your done your done. I agree though, they should offer some big block V8's or 10's.

    Hoping I can get a few more years out of my 03 ram diesel. My 01 f250 needs to be replaced with in the next year or so...... It has the v8 and really lacks power for towing.

    a 1/2 ton wouldnt do me much good. We tow with the trucks daily.

    I need to test drive the new ford 6.2..... it has to be better then the 5.4

    I had a V-10 4X4 F250 2003 modle, traded it for a 2005 F350 6.0. Wished I had kept the V-10. Open the exhaust,airfilter and thotttle bodyspacer in the V-10 and it will outrun and pull the sorry a$$ 6.0s.

    I assume that is 2wd if you got it for so cheap... I got a 2010 5.4 work truck just like that in silver with the fx4 and plow prep added for 26.5K brand new.... IDK how you managed that deal if it is a 4x4 with any sort of tow or plow package... man! I want it lol... I've been dreaming of a V10 ever since I got that 5.4 for my F250... Looks just like my truck though! If you don't like it I may buy it for my fleet lol :waving:

    2wd = I, we have no use for a 4x4 down here.
    Trailer towing package = Yes, it has that.
