There’s been a lot of chatter about commercial equipment, pricing being out of control, and the value of some of these newer, lower priced start up companies.
i’ve been at this a long time and just to remind people every company started somewhere very often the newer ones are hungry, pricing well and building good equipment when I first bought Exmark equipment I was mocked for not buying Bobcat or Scag in my area and people called it flex mark just something to think about .

That's true, but most of these newer companies are chinese owned and can afford to cut prices due to the pathetic way they treat their people there and how low wages there are for most of them. I know some of them are assembled here etc, but the profits all go back to china and I refuse to buy their crap and help support that commie country in any way if I can at all avoid doing it. They keep their prices low to undercut our country every chance they get and they are being quite successful at it.

Exmark comes from a very good proven leader and family of mowers.

Bradley and redhawk dont. They might be priced right but they are poorly made. I used Encores for years and when they were American owned they were good solid mowers. When World Lawn bought them they started to skimp and now they are junk.

Do you know that bradley and Redhawk are poorly made, or just read it on the net? I have looked into reviews quite extensively of Bradley as the prices for the big brands are crazy, for what I need, and I find nearly all positive reviews. I would say I see more negative reviews of the big established companies.

Bradley for instance uses the same engines hydros, and components as everyone else. I have read the frames are made in China, but have never seen a review stating a failed frame. Yes I have read some reviews with people saying odd layouts of some features and such.

Dealer networks are shotty at best, but ibhave never had a good experience from any of my mower dealer once they got my money. Even warranty when my mower was shooting flames out the exaust I was told everything was all good. So the lack of dealers doesn't bother me personally.

Just wondering your PERSONAL experience with them has been.

I know nothing of redhawk, haven't even Google them...

I ran a Bradley once. I ran into a guy who uses them and we discussed them and I asked him if he would take it off the trailer and let me run it. I was not impressed. Everything just seems kind of shotty and janky. It was difficult to control and frankly it felt a 500 lb paperweight. It seems like they just skimped on a lot of stuff compared to the higher priced ones. Its kind of hard to describe but it felt like YUGO cars from years ago.

I believe Havener Ent who makes Bradley used to make Redhawk. Thus the connection.

As mentioned correctly in another thread , these cheaper brands often copy older designs. So their R&D budget is zero. (R&D stands for Rip off and Duplicate).

Not saying the off brands are not good mowers, but newer designs cut better and faster, even using the same motors and hydros.

My Bradley is a tank. I’d buy another in a heart beat. Over built and the engine is stronger than any option that was available from other name brands. I’m sure I pay for it in fuel economy however it’s nice when I need it. Cut is often better than my X factor 2 gravely. Bradley is the 36, gravely is a 52. The R&D of the big companies isn’t producing a big enough difference to justify the difference in price for me. I can’t speak for world lawn but I’ve ran the Bradley and it’s a good mower.

The only thing from Encore I would buy right now are the Gear and hydro drive fixed decks as they are very similar to the older designs. I think they are still made in the old factory. Other than that I would stay away

What mower is the Bradley stander a old copy of?
I know the answer you will give is Bobcat, but their stander came out the same yr as the Bradley.

Bradley has been around for a long time. Theyre not some new chinese company and while they always make a cheaper line of mowers they are stout as can be. Sure theyll throw a commercial turf motor and some zt3100 hydros on there to save a couple thousand but they are not flimsy cheap mowers imo.

Havener enterprises is bradley mowers. Theyre in the same town.

How do they compare to Wright, Scag, eXmark, JD, Gravely, Ferris and Hustler? I haven’t used them, or a lot of the ones I listed. But only a handful of the ones I listed have a fabulous qoc (and that’s how I personally measure a commercial mower).

Wondering what you thought of them, and their cut quality? I have not idea.
Entry level commercial? Pro-Sumer?

You get 3400 hydros on their "higher end" stuff. We have a couple of their cheaper mowers. Actually just one left . ..a 1st gen 52" stander. We had a 48" WB we sold this year for $1500.

No real major issues. Just backup mowers for us but I'm not against them.

Limited experience with Redhawk but years ago the dealer I worked at sold some. One was sold to a custom cutter and he had a lot of problems with it. Don't remember all but there was a very short belt under the engine that caused a lot of headache other than that it was a cheesy mower. so much so I called it his Redchicken

So, in fact it is basically a Chinese reverse engineered machine of 20 some years ago, using Chinese grade steel. That's a deal breaker for me regardless of how great they may be. There's some very nicely made Chinese made products, but I don't care to own any more than absolutely necessary. Many American products now has foreign parts...many from Mexico. I'll still buy and support American (Including North American) made products over Made in China every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I believe anyone knowingly buying a China made 20plus year old designed product is just a little bit less American for doing so....strange how people are all for Made in the USA unless it's for them personally, then they're ok with the cheap stuff from China...

You can go buy almost everything Weather-Tech sells from companies who sells Chinese products at half the price...I'll gladly pay the Made In USA Weather-Tech price for a superior product...some obviously are fine with the Chinese product and price.

This is just my opinion and nothing more.
