Insect damage or brown patch?

    431ED75E-CF01-4065-916C-18E50B42F9D2.jpeg At first glance this looks like brown patch with the outer rings but there are insect mounds all around. It’s been dry the past few days but we did have a some heavy rain in the past couple weeks.

    Looks like past fungus damage to me. I can't see in the pics but "insect mounds" you speak of could be just small earthworm castings at the surface in small mounds. See plenty in areas like that when soil moisture levels are normal. We've had so much rain here, I had earthworms crawling in my garage the other day. They were drowning outside. lol

    That is brown patch. Earthworm castings are a good indicator of too much irrigation/moisture which doesnt help brown patch.
