Curious to know what ya'll charge for each yard of mulch etc that you spread/install?
$100 a yd covers light bed prep as well.
$85 a yard
Those prices include the mulch or is that just the labor to install the mulch?
Includes mulch. depending on the ype of mulch its $30-$40 a yard here. Also like me $85 is if there is very little prep. $100 a yard if I have to prep it
For me 95% of the time for me theirs a lot of prep.
$100 yd which includes materials, labor (install + basic prep), and delivery. Anything more than basic prep is extra. Difficult to reach areas is extra. Cedar mulch is extra.
I think most are going to be around 100 a yard. There are people who take the price of mulch double or a little more then labor
I use to do
75 a yard plus $25 per hour labor. It’s easier for me to say 85-100 x however many yards.
Just remember tho if it’s a 2 yard job but has 2 hours of prep plus another hour of mulching you wouldn’t make money on $100 a yard.
Say your per man hour is $65 and you spent 3 hours on the job total and charged $200, you basically broke even at $66.76 per man hour BEFORE you pay for the mulch.
Break down of the job
$30 a yard x 2=60
200-60=$120 profit if by yourself
So now your down to 40 per man hour.
Hope it helps
