Do any of you advertise the fact that you carry insurance? If so has this ever resulted in your being scammed by a customer trying to cash in on your insurance with a false claim?

The only people I advertise that I have insurance is to large commercial contracts they insist on getting a copy of your insurance when they book with you as for residentials it's come up very few times but most of the time they drop it when you insist on comming out to look at the "issue". As long as you do a quality job It shouldn't matter

My business cards say I'm insured. If I'm asked for a cover page, I usually black out the amt of coverage, then run it through the fax copier so ther's no way to tell how much coverage on the policy.
