I am looking at late 90's International dump trucks of late. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the different series of trucks? I see alot of 4700 and 4900 series trucks, how do they differ? I know I would want a DT 466, and would like a truck at near the 26,000 lb rating if I go with an international. I see on the International site they suggest a 4100 series for landscapeing, but this looks closer to a Chevy 4500 truck. I like the looks of the Chevy 4500 and 5500, but only see a benifit by getting a 5500 or 6500 near the 26000 lb GVW or else what kind of payload will you get.

Does anyone know an aproximate weight for an International with dt466 and dump bed in the 12- 16 foot range? I would like to know what kind of payload to expect.

4100 is a lower profile truck. 4900 is usually 29, 30, or 33k GVW whcich requires a CDL.
4700 is similar to an F650 or 750. The 4400 is also a good chassis, pretty comon in the Towing industry.
