I just finished up an irregular flagstone patio and walkway for a customer. Installation was done in sand over a 5" compacted base. Total was about 250 sq. ft. and all the excavation had to be done by hand. This is not something I do very often, and was hoping to get some insight on how much is fair and reasonable to charge the customer. The customer picked out and provided the stone used, so I am charging for labor and installation materials only. Based on time and materials, I am coming up with $2236. Does this sound about right. High? Low? And before I get hammered with "you didn't agree on a price before you started??!!" , this is the way this customer operates. He tells me what he wants done, and I do it. Price and payment are never an issue.
