I have a 1 ton Ford Superduty with a flatbed. I've been told I should get a dump lift put on it. I checked it out and it would cost me about $2,800! I realize the obvious advantage of not having to shovel stuff out of it. I guess my question is how much money making potential is there in having a dump as compared to not having one? Is there really that much demand for hauling loads of rock, dirt, etc, that it would be worth it? Thanks.

    doing tons of clean up's

taking time at the dump unloading by hand this would save a lot of time and man enegery. However for me. I could NOT justifiy spending that much just for the little bit of time saved,

the clean ups are only two times a year doing maybe 15 to 20 per year,
We dont do any dirt work, so for me this would NOT be a good thing.

Do your research, see how much time it's costing, how much work it would save.

    Good luck

I would go for it. You could put anything in it. Grass, leaves, brush, mulch, stone, etc. And like you said it beats shoveling or raking things out of the back.
